Abigail Mlinar. It's only taken me years to learn how to spell your name- and pronounce it correctly for that matter (Mill-EYE-ner... in case you were wondering).
Abby and I connected over a project that our corporate employers were collaborating on in 2014. We were a couple years out of college, working hard, and making a place for ourselves in our community. Who would have known that three years from then we would be having coffee collaborating again as independent female business owners. You see, Abigail is the kind of woman who embodies everything one aspires to be as a young adult. She's chased her dreams, inspired a feminist collective (YUP), traveled the world, and radiates style and womanly beauty. Basically she's amazing and I'm obsessed.
I met her at her downtown apartment after she texted me a few photos demonstrating the incredible amount of morning light that poured into it. Bright white walls cracked slightly from a hundred years of life with floor to ceiling cornicing, tall windows, house plants, a mid-century modern thrifted couch, and hexagon tiling to die for. A kind of forever home fit for a millennial. She pressed coffee and I metered the light, then we took some photos. We smiled.
