Maggie's senior photo shoot was set in etherial landscape of Chester Bowl- an on season ski hill, off season dog-walking utopia. Without the snow this parks rolling green hills and languid waterfalls provided us with a surreal backdrop of inoperable ski lifts and overgrown stone pathways. On this particular day a heavy fog diffused the sun on this early fall afternoon casting some of the most beautiful natural light I've ever worked with.
Afterwards we made our way to a private residence on Park Point to shoot in a wonderland of antiques and gothic beach wood sculptures. This location is unlike anything I've ever experienced- you would need to see it to believe it. We had snacks on a veranda decorated with eclectic flower pots and stone gargoyles before walking through a tunnel built from driftwood and hop vines leading down to the mighty lake.
Maggie is a born and raised Duluthian so it only made sense that her shoot was comprised of ski hills and water. Congratulations Maggie, class of 2016. Onward!
